About Katie Skovholt
Katie Skovholt is the Executive Director for Seattle Pro Musica, an 80-voice non-profit choir. Under her leadership, Seattle Pro Musica has grown into one of the most respected small arts organizations in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Prior to joining the staff at SPM, Katie worked for Pacific Lutheran University, where she held the position of Senior Administrative Assistant with the School of Arts & Communication. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree (secondary choral education) from PLU in 2006, and completed her Master of Business Administration coursework in 2010.
Katie is an in-demand speaker and presenter, and has been featured several times in The Voice, Chorus America's award-winning quarterly magazine.
Katie sings soprano, and has studied voice with Nancy Vancil, Mira Frohnmayer, Marcia Baldwin, and James Brown. Recently, she was a featured vocalist on the 2015 GRAMMY-award winning album Winds of Samsara. She also serves as Choir Director for Richmond Beach Congregational Church in Shoreline, WA, and is a popular Rover sitter.
